Last week against Dallas, i had a game plan in my head. And they followed it (Get an an early lead...rookie turnover). There is no plan for this week. Just go out and play better than the A-T-L. Make ridiculous plays. Create turnovers. Did you know the Packers have ZERO return TDs of any type? Kicks, Punts, Int or Fumbles. Lets change that. Aaron Rodgers will not win the MVP this year, but he can beat the other top 4 candidates in consecutive games if all goes right. Nothing would be better for the NFL than a Brady/Rodgers SB.
And that is fine a great season a career highlight for him, even if there was a QB that had more TD passes, rushing yards and TD's and less interceptions.
Brad simmer down at this point players missing practice to rest tweaks and minor injuries is no big deal ignore the injury report the players will suit up and play, Jordy was on the practice field yesterday so gloom and doom is not there yet.
We will see. I guess what got me down was listening to the beat writers on the radio this morning. They were not optimist about things right now. Hope they are wrong.
Had a long response typed up but will just leave it at: You're looking at 3 things and forgetting many factors that contribute to someone winning the MVP. On another note - This weeks games should be great. I still think that Falcons fold at home.
MVP will come down to, We expect Rodgers to perform as he is, if somebody else performs above their norm and comes close, we give it to them NFL version of a participation trophy.
Yards per attempt, passer rating and Total QBR are a few. Atlanta ranked near the bottom of the league in team defense, meaning Ryan carried the team to their record (as Rodgers did). Better record, etc, etc, etc. Here is a nice article ESPN just released that compares Matt Ryan to Rodgers since week 12. Matt Ryan has played even better than Aaron Rodgers lately - NFL 2016
Ryan is my MVP vote. Rodgers is my choice to win a game though any day, against any one when he is doing this. It is crazy to think he could take out Dak, Ryan and Brady consecutively....I pray he does (well I hope Steelers win but not holding breath). As for injuries Brad is somewhat justified in that look at our CB's as a prime example...arguably coming into the year our #1, #2 and #3 are down or hobbling into this game. Now add in starting Safety Burnett questionable doesn't help. While not have Nelson and now possible not Adams is concerning the Offense worries me less when AR is playing like this than the gaps in our Defense....shoot just have a second hand with fingers on Perry would be nice (he probably picks that one ball last week if so).
Who cares about the MVP. Win the game Rodgers and nobody will care who MVP is. Also, assuming Rodgers is not MVP and Ryan is and Rodgers suspects that. Nobody plays better with a chip on their shoulder to prove the world they were wrong about him.
The last meeting with Atl our CBs were Gunter and Goodson, and we also didn't have Clay. We will have one of the top 3 CBs in Randall, and possible 2 if Rollins clears the concussion protocol. burnett would be a hit but so was missing Clay. defensively we are no worse off than the first meeting. Offensively were are probably better since we now have a respectable running game which we didn't last time, and we have Cobb and Cook who were both out the first meeting also.
Overall I don't disagree with that for comparing then to now. Cook is a huge addition since then (as he was inactive then).
I have missed one game in each of the playoff weeks and I hope the streak continues New England over Pittsburgh in a close one Green Bay beats Atlanta...really hoping this in my wrong pick
