I am tired of the GM and coaching staff taking late round draft picks and think they can coach them up. The wide receivers are a ragtag collection of never weres.
Jordy Nelson and Cobb are instant starters elsewhere save maybe a handful of teams. Adams is a #1 for some squads, #2 for many and definitely a #3 everywhere save a handful....sorry not buying that. A lot of things can be said about TT, he's too conservative at times most definitely, doesn't swing for the fence ever for fear of failure I think...but in the end his roster is capable and should be winning the Division every year...I don't blame him for MM and his staff's failures.
Oh and I want the strength and condition coach fired as well the Packers lead the league in injuries every year. Ty you must be thinking of Jordy 2 years ago, he is no where near to being an elite WR in even the division, Cobb is good but he was exposed as not being able to be the teams # 1 receiver last season.
Never said Cobb is a #1...but you are smoking if you don't think he isn't a #2 weapon on the majority of teams in the league. Nelson isn't close to where he was but he is still one of the better outside the Top10 or so but still awesome. Our Strength & Conditioning guy most definitely needs kicked..shoot I'm fine if we get rid of his entire staff from bottom to top.
I can't believe the complete swing they've taken. Looks like another starting O-lineman out of the year. What a cluster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
History has shown that his method of building a roster is much more effective than free agency. Especially since most quality free agents are grossly overpaid and get cut or traded after the first year or two. As much as I dislike the Packers, I have the utmost respect for the way he approaches his roster. Also, any good coach will tell you there is no such thing as "One player away from a Super Bowl" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh I agree with the foundation TT has built but there has been no effort to improve glaring weakness. Jared Cook that is an improvement? Julius Peppers was the last free agent signing that has had an impact. Like I said the Packers skill players have decined it was exposed last season and there was no effort to improve the group. I am not talking about crazy high profile free agent signings just an improvement over existing would suffice.
I think tt has to go as well. The build of this roster is terrible. How do you go into the season with 1 experienced corner with concussion issues? They carry 7 receivers, yet, 3-4 of them generally get on the field. This team has depth issues at every position outside of wr.
I feel sorry for you guys. You have a ****ty coach and he thinks he is elite. Hey dumb *** you only won because you had QB's carry your ***. Some of the coaches that a lot of people thought were great would suck balls if they didn't have a QB.
The Vikes are a F N disaster right now. The Eagles are going to get a top 15 draft pick and laugh all the way to the podium.
Okay right this minute NFC North sits at this: Lions 5-4 Vikes 5-4 Pack 4-5 Bears 2-7 End of the year predictions.......I'll go first: I am struggling very hard to see a team getting to 10 wins in this division. Lions - Will win against Jags/Bears and most likely 1 of Vikes/Pack...putting them at 8....they'd need to win the other Vike/Pack game or 2 of these 3 away games Saints/Giants/Cowboys. They finish 9-7 Vikings - Also have Jags and Bears left...I say they win those...and say they too split the Pack/Lions...putting them at 8....they'd then have to win 2 of the 3 HOME games against Cardinals/Cowboys/Colts. Being at home helps but they've looked autrocious lately and I don't see it. At best Vikings end up 8-8 Packers - Ah the enigma which is the grossly underachieving Packers...Sadly I only see one sure (should be) win left and that is the Bears game....but we'll say they split the Vikes/Lions games...putting them at 6-6...they'd have to run the table on the road against Redskins & Eagles and then defend homefield against Texans and Seahawks. I think they also go 8-8...if they push to 9-7 I believe they would lose division to Lions though for division record...but didn't do that much analysis. Bears - Well...let's just say if they finish with 6 wins I would take it if I was them. So I'll go on record with I foresee it going: Lions 9-7 (only team that could push to 10-6) Packers 8-8 (9-7 outside chance) Vikings 8-8 Bears 5-11
Sorry Ty I can't at this point in the season and the state of the Packers I am in a place mentally where I have to go one day at a time.
What have the packers shown that sAys they will win more games than they lose except you are a homer? Sorry Ty you give opinions as a die hard fan and never as a realist.
Because of their schedule more than themselves. Honestly you could subtract or add one game either way. Green Bay will NOT finish better than 9-7 nor do I feel they finish worse than 7-9. Seeing them beat the Bears, Vikings and one of the home games against the Texans and Hawks is not outlandish...and they'd end 7-9. No matter how that goes I am never going to say they are good...only way that could every happen is if they limp into playoffs due to weak division and somehow pull of miracles....not holding my breath. Merely making predictions from where each team is and who they have left.
Some lack the ability to set homer mentality aside and talk as un-bias as possible on sports things though. I could set here and say Viqueens are bad and won't win anymore...but schedule doesn't point to that as a realistic expectation.
Vikings finally cut Blair Walsh. No one can say they didn't give them an opportunity to improve. Too bad since he was so good as a rookie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
