A team like GB would struggle with that game plan due to the extremely depleted secondary...but it shows would be worth the dice roll.

With our offense as injured as it is right now, what coach in their right mind wouldn't send the blitz on each play? he knew we were thin on receivers and linemen. He dared us to throw it fast and to new receivers and it caused interceptions, go figure. Great coaching by the eagles to take advantage of that

I love Stafford. Marvin Jones is creeping up there as well.

I will admit that I'm a bit disappointed in how Zimmer is handling this. Publically calling out his team the way he has isn't going to sit well with some of the guys I would think. I like Zimmer's no nonsense approach but this much be the wrong way to do it. We shall see.

I will never understand the fragile minds of some players when a coach calls them out, be a man take the criticism and use it for motivation rather than being butt hurt.

Zimmer handled it terribly...players won't be as fragile as some are saying and the Vikings still sit as #1 team in their division. Till that last part changes I'm going to keep my mouth shut in attacks centered around the Purple.

How can you not like the way he is handling it? Handled it terribly? Please. Keep calling them out until they perform, Zim. He praised them over and over the first 5 weeks after wins. I feel that the team respects Zim enough to take his comments/criticism and build off of it.

No need for a coach to baby a team of grown men who are paid millions to do their job.

In a perfect world this should be true. But its not. You have a group of millionaires with huge egos. Its one thing to pull them in and tear them a new one. But to do it publically in the fashion he did often times doesn't do much for respect.

Sota has never spoken more wise of words. That ego means ****. Was it harsh for Arians to call out his kicker after missing those field goals? Do your job - Bottom line.

Let me be clear. I think the players should be able to take it. They just don't take it very well more often than not.

Hell Yes MnHunterr. I agree 100%!
I Personally respect Zim more than ANY other Vikings Coach. At least in Recent history. Just the way he owns up to faults, deals praise when deserved, and shows tough love is awesome. And the way he handles media is great. Lol. He's a HC. He doesn't need to tell anyone anything if he doesn't want to and makes that clear. Zimmer is a fantastic coach. Period.

I'm a Tony Dungy style guy myself...despite strongly disliking the Colts lol. He is the style of coach I hope my kids (if I have any have). Mastered the art of honesty with respect, integrity with grit.

If you saw hard knocks when Zim was with the Bengals you would understand what Zim said in a press conference was cotton candy compared to what he said in the locker room after the game and in the first film session with the coaches and the player film study as well. I like Zim as a coach, a lot. Still NFL head coaches get weird and paranoid after a couple years can't say as I blame them.

The sky was falling in Green Bay 3 weeks ago and the Vikings were going undefeated.

Look how the tides have turned.

Like i keep saying, lets keep this going throughout the season. Will be fun.

    Ahh this is hilarious...

How many of you have been chewed a new one while being paid $10-20-30/hr? these guys are making hundreds if not thousands of dollars per hour. If they can't deal with it then they can go home and cry in their Lamborghini.

I personally didn't hear what he said, but good for him. You have a team that was dominating the league and then they go out and do that? I would be upset too. It's not because they lost, its because Zimmer knows what they are capable of and that they didn't do it. I would tear into my players any time I see them not giving it their all. Bud Grant didn't have time for players egos either and he was regarded as one of the best all time vikings coaches.

I'm still not comfortable with GB at all....yet again we are going to have to ask very young secondary players to step up big time, Lacy down for who knows how long...however, one thing that has always come from offensive injuries is I think it forces MM to change up his planned "stagnant" play calling.

Monty getting involved has been a great thing for the offense in spawning an unexpected factor....I also expect Kniles to have a little bit more of a role now that he's been here a week.

Fingers crossed we keep it rolling and avoid any further injuries...especially in the secondary. I am excited to see Brice get more and more playing time on Defense...he's a darkhorse hitter for me and I think he could play into a role for us in the future.
