It was only a matter a time before their offense showed its true colors. Defense is still best in the nfl in my opinion.
I think Sam Bradford woke up Sunday morning and remembered he was Sam Bradford and then played like Sam Bradford.
I called this loss...up to this point I'd only picked against them when the Pack played them. I do feel they played slightly below their potential this game however. I still feel they are at worst a 4/5 loss team and will probably wash out with 3 losses (hopefully one of the 2 remaining to GB). Still wouldn't say Green Bay is a better team...but yesterday showed some stuff we all knew wasn't going to keep hidden all year. I do not like how the Falcons got beat by the Chargers....in OT....in their house.....now our game is gonna have them ticked off and rearing to go.
Sorry....that is just sad. Only time I'll turn Pack games off is in blow outs....and sadly it's been a few years.
I guess I cant say yesterday surprised me; we all knew our O line was pretty terrible and they showed it yesterday. Thankfully I was in the tractor so I didn't have to watch it.
Protection slipped some yesterday without a doubt...but Bradford was more like Bradford then pre-2014 reincarnated Aaron Rodgers he'd played like recently. I wouldn't be shook too much though, MN's defense alone will win them 50-60% of their games remaining...and you know the offense won't be autrocious all the time.
Okay that I understand. I should have said if I set the time aside for the game, I'm watching it....life does happen though.
You really think it's Bradfords fault we lost that game? Go watch it again and let me know how that O-Line held up and we can talk. I thought you knew football a bit better than that.
I'm genuinely worried about our O-Line now. I knew it sucked... But yesterday was absolutely terrible. The scary part is... Is that we are playing everyone we got. We can't trade anyone else unless they want to risk the future and trade away more draft picks.
If I were them one could consider trading an up and comer on Defense...you have some depth at certain positions...now granted I doubt it would garner much but would be worth looking at. I also bet MN is looking around at teams which kept Practice Squad OL that are rookie or second year guys that show promise...again not best case scenario but sometimes some rough gems can be discovered. Shoot pretty much how you got Charles Johnson...again he isn't a stud but contributor.
If Sam Bradford had even half the time Aaron has with the pack, that would have been a very different game. Offensively speaking for the Vikings. He played well for what he was given. The strip sacks are the only thing i'll hate against for his game.
I could blame the O line for 1 fumble or 2 but 4 and an Int? Why would I watch the game, I don't make a habit of looking down before I flush.
If and should coulda woulda are pillars of being a viking fan, deal what with what actually happened with the players you have, The O line was a weak point for the vikings in 2015 Ricky tried but did nothing to improve the O line in the off season.
What? Bradford didn't just drop the football. The O-Line let the eagles front through play after play... Resulting in 4 fumbles. Should have been more than 4. Bradford was stripped I think 3 other times in the game where we recovered.
In the end...Sam is a football player, in the end it is his fault for every time he fumbles the ball, is the mindset a QB/Leader must have. Yes if blindsided by a rush fumbles will happen...not all were blindsided if I remember right. This is not defending their O-Line but defending the concept of in the end the person that fumbles the ball must take their part of responsibility.
Philadelphia sacked Bradford 6 times, hit him 19 times, and knocked him down 14 times. I think the Eagles just showed the rest of the NFL what their game plan needs to involve against us. The Eagles blitzed more yesterday than they have in all games combined this season.
