Another great game, offensive stepped up - have to clean up the penalties though. More injuries to the O line - never thought I'd be relieved to be going into a bye week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Idk what you guys thought (pack fans included) but that giants/packers game was hard to watch. So much of it was just ugly. Haha.
As much as it hurts a Vikings fan to say it, Good job Pack O-Line. And defensive pass rush. They are THE REASON for the W.
It was very ugly. Felt like there was a flag every other play. That coupled with the dropped passes just sucked...
Pack looked excellent first 3 drives (despite the deflected pick)...O-Line was amazing all night...Lacy was pounding until injury...then everything stalled. From about the end of the 1st on, it truly was an ugly game in a lot of respects...I did love how our EXTREMELY young secondary did covering again without our #1 and #2 CBs...Hyde played excellent and that Gunter kid is still showing growing pains but man does he have some skills. Defense was just one good takeaway away from closing this game early in the 2nd half... As AR said it wasn't all pretty but we'll take it. Cobb and O-Line gets game ball for me. As for the Vikings, again offense is playing extremely clean, defense is suffocating and their scoring in all phases offense, defense and special teams (shocking I know). I still feel Green Bay's ceiling is higher...but Minnesota is ensuring Green Bay has to hit that it seems if they want a piece of the division this year unlike in the past years (last year obviously not included).
How is your ceiling higher? Your coach alone proves that not to be the case. That is very much a homer statement...even though you don't live in Wisconsin
If the Pack play to their talent potential I feel they are a better team, just go down the position comparisons from squad to squad. Minnesota to me is playing about as good as they probably will...minimal room for improvement, they truly are playing at an extremely high level right now and mere refinement is probably going to happen moving forward this year. This is not a knock, I truly think they are the best team in not just the division at the moment but the conference and deserve the argument of league (I'd probably give nod elsewhere but definite discussion). I just don't know outside of their kicking game, if you can pinpoint a position and say this one needs to step it up and be better thus making the team better. Packers are plagued with secondary issues right now, and if you've been playing attention the defense in games throughout the year has included 3-7 undrafted/rookies from 2016 draft lining up and playing decent minutes...add another 2-4 2nd year guys doing likewise. These guys are still in the going to sink or swim position in their careers. Offensively the Pack suck right now. Just do...for the Packers that is. Last night showed how much Jordy truly does add, but more importantly it showed how good the O is when Lacy is beasting...after his injury team was not the same and it wasn't just due to Giants defense. I'll also say something that scares me and I feel bad saying....Aaron has stepped back in skill it seems. I was hoping last year was a fluke and it was Jordy and such but man some of his balls just sucked last night...no arguing it. So yeah, I see our offense ceiling being higher than anything we've come close to playing. Is what it is and does boil down to own's interpretation but I'm about as impartial as it comes when discussing my honest opinion...might be all the year's of being a Cubs and ND fan...one always loses and the other is never as good as their fan base believes.
I agree with most everything... But have you seen our O-Line? I think we've lost 3 or 4 of our starters now. As far as Rodgers goes - I play a ton of fantasy football and found this stat while doing my weekly research. Very interesting.
True about your Oline...but I feel they are playing well above or at expectations. I meant kicker is the real glaring play issue not playing up to their expected level or very close.
I still think playcalling sucks. When the offense looks good, they're getting their receivers the ball quick and letting them make plays. That, in turn, opens up the deep passes.
What the Vikings offense looked like in August. Pretty incredible that we are somehow 5-0. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would say it is very possible if Bridgewater would not of got hurt they may be 4-1. Bradford may be better for Sota than Bridgewater. At least now. He is doing exactly what he needs to. Manage the game. Not make mistakes. Be consistent. He has done all of those things. Not sure Teddy would of been as good in that regard.
I've never seen a team get better with injuries. But with Peterson and Teddy out I think they are better off without them to this point.
I wouldn't trade AP for anyone else if you remove his age or injury history...but losing him, forced a slight opening of the playbook more than when you have arguably one of the best pure RBs in the game.
I said the vikings would be better without AP. It changes the playbook instead of feeling obligated to run the ball 20 times a game. The vikings have not been a top 10 offense in AP's career except for the year Brett was at the helm, the vikings are more balanced and less predictable without AP.
Right on. McKinnon and Asiata are pretty good backs and in my opinion, I will take them over AP any day. McKinnon actually runs straight. He had a quick out pass last week and gained 20 some yards I believe. AP would have tried juking 17 times and would have lost yards. My prediction is he'll be back at the very end of the year and F something up to the point of losing it for the Vikings.
