Very true. It could of been a blow-out really with a few bounces the other way.

Yup! Honestly, you guys recover 1/2 the fumbles it changes big time. However, if a couple times your DB's don't interfere Adams and Nelson both have TDs too.

However I think it'd changed the entire landscape if they'd fallen on the fumbles...probably in the 31-21 range and would have felt farther apart.

    Ty,

The Packers offensive will be fine if they continue to stay healthy. Its like they are in the 4th pre-season game right now with the amount of in game work they have done so far. I predict you start seeing a huge improvement here in the upcoming games.

It's been brought up earlier here but why don't they utilize Rodgers over the middle more? Some of the play calling on the Packers side baffled me last night.

Richard Rodgers doesn't seem to get a whole lot of separation it seems. He needs to get open more and make that a strength instead of a weakness.

He's a big guy but maybe that's why he's not able to separate. After having Cobb on my fantasy team for the last 3 years and following him some, they need to start utilizing him better this year as well. Tough when you're only throwing to Nelson; although it seems to work more often than not.

I feel you for sure, and as I said by year's end I still think we're the best team in division....but right now I can't make argument for that.

As for the Rogers up the middle discussion, Richard has slimmed down and it is helping him (pressure of Cook signing no doubt motivated him)...but while he separates poorly compared to Cook, his body position is excellent. Cook and RR both need to be a bigger part of the offense....suck the safeties up a tick with those dumps and bam deep ball to Nelson or Adams (has shown growth in this skill this year).

So Viking fans, I want to hear you defend the idea that blowing into that big horn in your stadium is somehow cool. Lets hear it .

Disclaimer: having bud be the first to do it was pretty cool.

I guess I can't make an argument on why it's "cool" but I definitely see nothing wrong with it? I'm sure it's pretty awesome when you're actually in the stadium. Beats cannons going off like most other stadiums.

So my take away from the game is that the Packers need to draft a QB and WR as well as a high profile free agent wide receiver I am sick and tired of Ted signing some undrafted free agent WR with the intention of coaching him up. Mike had better start working on his interview skills because I would put him on notice that he is on the hot seat. You do not ever ever leave points on the field on the road you kick the field goal. Ted Thompson it was a nice run but your frugal stubborn ways have wasted a golden window of opportunity for the franchise enjoy, retirement will not be hard to transition to just do what you do every year when the NFL free agent period begins.

The viking fans are giddy about the win they should be but they beat a Packer team that played like they were begging to get beat like a drum and the purple eeked out a win at home.

I don't understand how you didn't recognize any of this before this game? Why was this the game that opened your eyes?

Just keep in mind be careful what you wish for. Sure we can criticize TT and MM for things. But you better have a better replacement in the works before you start cutting people lose. 30 (or whatever it is ) other teams are also looking for great head coaches and general managers. They don't grow on trees.

No not just a loss it was the end of a run. !st Packer viking game at Met stadium Packers won, first at the Metro dome Packers won, first at TCF field Packers won, the tradition was broken last night due to failures in execution from the QB and the coach.

Well at a minimum I would go down to Mike's office and kick him square in the nuts for 1 not kicking the field goal and kick him again for using Starks on the play.

The Superbowl was not won last night.

The Superbowl was not lost last night.

BFD on the new stadium. Nobody will care about that in January.

Can't say I can argue with that.

TT has done one thing for you and that is give you a consistent above average team that has a shot every year to win it all. That doesn't mean TT and MM don't have flaws.

It was a cheap shot. The receivers who take those hits are usually catching the ball in the end zone, so the shots they take are trying to break up the pass, not running in and getting hit after they've been in for a month. There was absolutely no reason for the hit.

It's too bad Lang didn't know about the unsportsmanlike he was going to get. Could have made it worth it by taking that twink out.
