Check out this video. I would say, if the kid doesn't get burnt out on the sport, he is well on his way to a solid golf career. I like the fact he enjoys putting the best. I know I started playing when I was 7 and well, I don't play much anymore. I got burnt out by playing too much. Never got back into it. At my peak I was around a 8-10 handicapper. Nothing to brag about but I knew the fundamentals. Just couldn't get through the battle of the mind, still haunts me when shooting competitive archery.
