Just got it back a week or two ago. All in all I am happy with the quality. Sheep Mountain Taxidermy in Camp Crook, SD.

It taped out at 5-6 inches under the 67" P&Y minimum by my tape measurer...I was pleased.

I didn't mean anything by the P&Y reference, just to give you a feeling for the size. Schultz...all he was lacking was length. Decent mass and Good 4" cutters, but he only had 11" and 10 7/8" length horns. Add a few inches to each side and he was there. No biggie to me, my goal was to have fun. I accomplished that and got a great goat to boot. I don't much care about scores for record book purposes anyway, they just provide me with a benchmark of what to compare to/aim for...if that made any sense. It doesn't matter to me if an animal makes it or not, P&Y is just a reference point in which all animals can be compared to.

Now that I have one down, if I ever go back out there again....it will be a September rut hunt while decoying...that sounds waaaay to much fun to miss out on. I am going to try and top P&Y next time, just to beat my personal best. There are SOOO many goats out in the prairie, it is just a matter of targeting the right bucks. P&Y and B&C lopers can be found nearly everywhere, just takes patience and alot of time to target them. P&Y is pretty easily reached with pronghorn it seems.....B&C is hard for any species, lol.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I don't have a big green blob in my room either, thats just to keep something annonymous. lol

Very nice looking mount. That's something I'd like to try is antelope hunting. How about a little story to go w/the pic?

Congrats! That is a great looking mount and who cares about the size. I was wondering about the green mark though.

You guys crack me up...thanks for the compliments.

in da woods, the full write up and story can be found at http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2993740&mpage=1&key=success&#2993740

The blob will forever remain a mystery, sub 21 year olds shouldn't have such items in their rooms....it is despicable. ;)
