I need a little advice on how to fix some issues. We have two places to buy a bow locally so I decided the little guy vs cabela's would treat me right for a first bow purchase, I was dead wrong.Store policy is no refunds or exchanges after you leave so im stuck with my stupidity.
The guy sold me a new PSE nova although a older model 2007 for a good price. Now the problem, he has been around for many years (30+) so I doubt he lacks knowlege but I'm feeling ripped off.
I get my new bow home set it on the floor leaning against the wall when budy says "you cant shoot that thing". He begins picking apart the issues, mind you this bow was supposed to be tuned and paper tuned.

The arrows have nocking tips going every which direction no rhyme or reason to their position. Maybe no big deal but only one is in the right position to keep from hitting the cables.
The sight is a limbsaver, I like the bright light without batteries idea. Low and behold its a RH sight on my LH bow. The light collector faces the ground with no way to fix it and no refunds or exchanges. The guy swares up and down that Limbsaver doesnt make a different sight for a LH bow.
The string serving is not centered again maybe no big deal except the "d" loop is set more than an inch below the rest when in the up position. I can see this without a bow square its that bad. I asked him about this and he claims since its a twin cam bow it will be that low. Like an idiot I fell for that and shot a few arrows all were very high good thing I made a huge tall hay back stop.
The wrist release is a whole other issue. The thing is just plain dangerous. no hand on the release it lets go. Works fine as long as you keep a finger on the back side of the trigger.
More on the arrows. A buddy told me to ask for Vapors so I paid for Vapors. I get my arrows and they say Buckbuster V6 400 on them. He tells me the "V" stands for vapor. Like an idiot I assume this was true.
I paid for Limbsaver string dampeners and was told they were good. My buddy informs me that I actually bought a wad of cut up rubber bands tied to the string.

I know I cant do any thing to fix all the stupidity on my part. Can I have the string fixed, reserved he is telling me no because its glued? I dont see any glue. I dont know anything about Cabellas sevice. Should I just drop the thing off and let them work out the bugs. My wife can deal with the other guy later. I married my lawyer :). Im a mechanic and fairly handy i was considering buying all the supplied and giving it a shot myself. Is this advisable or should I just call it an unsafe bow and let the pros deal with it?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Don

The knocks in the arrow should spin to align your fletchings in whichever direction you need just place the arrow on the string and spin the arrow with your fingers. Search bowtuning on google and learn everything you need to tune your own bow and you will never have to worry about getting ripped off. Knowledge is the key. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Thank you. The knocks are glued into place. I did drop it off at Cabelas along with the arrows. They are going to tune the bow and fix all the problems along with refletching of the arrows.
I cant say more about their service so far. They are replacing the sight for free just swapping a RH for a LH. Installing a new string all done right for free. I guess there was an issue with this dealer and pse authorized the bow repairs under warranty.

    Thank for the advice
