Assuming your bow is correctly set up and tuned and you have properly spined arrows, practice, practice, practice.

I would go to a pro shop and make sure the bow is tuned and set up properly for you (draw length, peep height, etc...). If you were set up and tuned at a shop already just keep practicing. Also, one thing that helped me a lot when I first got started was taking a few lessons. It'll help you start practicing good habits consistently.

Like they already said if your bow ain't setup, get it done. Then practice. A lot hahaha. I shoot on an almost daily basis just to keep consistent. So don't get discouraged with some time an patience you'll get it.

I took lessons at a pro shop when I was about 6-10 years old improving my technique and advancing my knowledge then I didn't pick a bow up for about 5 years as soon as I went to shoot I remembered everything I was taught. But really make sure you have the bow tuned to your liking, if your just pulling with your hand I recommend the three finger technique, also make sure your sights are set properly and your not torquing the bow before you shoot.
other than that practice practice practice you will get it.

Once setup properly, Sight in at 15 if your consistently hitting the same spot, Then move closer and you should have a better consistently inbetween distances atleast left to right. I know from sighting in my bows over the years that ill shoot from ten yards to rough the bow in then move back and resight the pins in. If your off an 2 inches at 8 yards you might be 6 to 8 inches off at 15 yards left to right.

As mention be sure the bow is tuned correctly then have someone in the know show you correct form, then practice. Good form is key to consistent shooting.

Good at 8yrd and really bad at 15..... sounds like your rest is not set correctly (left to right). You might wanna walk back tune if you feel comfortable doing it. The big key is being consistant, anchor the same way everytime you shoot. After the bow is tuned, arrows matched to your rig, and walk back tuned its all up to you....practice as much as you can without overdoing it.
Remember, there is a big difference between practice and just letting arrows go downrange.

BTW, dont loose confidence in your shooting. If you feel like your losing it, take a break for awhile.

    Good luck
