    Hey.

Im a newbie here and have never shot a bow in my life (although i think it'd be really cool).

So first things first: Helle. Im 16, almost 17. Live on Australia's east coast (Brisbane).

Now for the barrage of questions:
What would be a good type of bow for me to start with?
And what arrows would be good to start with (practice wise in my yard)
and what sort of target would best suit me?

Thanks to anyone who read this :)

Welcome to the site. First thing is to figure out what you plan to spend and then go to bow shops and find the bow your comfortable shooting. Take your time on your decisions and dont be too quick to buy. After scouting around a bit you should find something you wont be dissapointed with. Any cheap carbon arrow in my opinion will get you started because you may lose a few in the beginning. Make sure and ask the shop which arrows match your bow and make sure to explain to them you dont plan to spend a lot. Feel free to ask these guys/gals on this site anything. They are good people.

Like Mud said set a budget before you start looking. Shoot as many bows as you can and shoot them atleast 5 times a piece. Pay attention to how the bow feels in your hand before and after the shot. How loud it is and how the draw cycle feels. Start with draw weight you are comfortable with as well.

I would recomend a cheaper carbon as well. I would get a larger field point target to start as accuracy will take time. The are cheaper than broadhead targets and you can get a smaller cheaper broadhead target once you become a little more experienced.

    Welcome to the Addiction!
