Hello all I am new to bow hunting and wanted to know if anyone more experienced than I (basically anyone at this point) could help my out. I would like to know what brand, model, and set ups some of y'all would recommend for someone who is just starting off with a bow and want to mostly use it for boar hunting. I am looking for something no more than 400 dollars if possible and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Welcome to the forum. I am no specialist on boar hunting but your going to need to go to your proshop and pull some bows. Find out what poundage you feel comfortable with and have them measure your draw length. Once you know that you can decide if they have something there that will work for you or at least you know your draw length and weight so you can shop around. Find out what's the legal minimum for draw weight where you will be hunting. Shot placement is key and most any bow you find at a shop will easily take down a pig with a good shot. Good Luck!
i fully agree with tribal, my friend took the same advice and was really glad he didnt just go out and buy a bow. but actually shot a good twenty bows before he found the ONE that was great for him. So exactly what tribal said go shoot all the bows you can it really is the best way to know for sure. Welcome to BH.com it is full of guys able to help you out on any question(belive me i know) good luck
