im new around here, and new to bowhunting in general. i recently got my first bow (pse) and as you could guess i was instantly hooked. i dont know a whole lot about bowhunting, and always appreciate any tips. i noticed there was a thread for questions, but to save myself another post i have a quick question. is bowhunting in rainy or just wet conditions bad for the bow string or any other critical parts? any and all advice is welcome and much appreciated. thanks in advance!

Keep your string waxed up good with some quality bow wax. This goes for all conditions all the time. Your bow can handle any elements that you can provided you take care of it properly. Oh and welcome to the addiction!

    Welcome to the site!

Tack is right. Wax her up and wipe her down if it's been raining.

thanks for the welcome and good advice everyone. i went in drizzling rain the next morning and got my first bow shot at a six point. i missed due to nerves, but have been searching for him since. i owe that hunt entirely to yalls advice. i will definitely be using this site often. and i always welcome any tips you might think would help. im new and want to get as good as i possibly can so that i can also share the excitement that is bowhunting with my son.

That buck fever can be a b**ch, keep at it believe me we all miss. Staying calm and focused takes practice just like consistent shooting. Good luck!
