I'll keep that in mind next time I have 30k burning a hole in my pocket.

The really cool thing about New Zealand is that the people there are some of the friendliest people on the planet. I've hunted successfully both the North and South Islands for species like red deer, tahr, chamois, turkey, feral goats, fallow deer, arapawa ram, and wild boar. On three different trips, I don't think I have spent over $15,000 including airfare-maybe even much less. Using a guide is not a requirement. As a matter of fact, NZ is a DIY hunter's best dream come true. NZ is truly one of the most amazing places to visit and hunt for the person willing to allow adventure and discovery the chance to merge.
