Capital district. I don't want to see antler restrictions but there needs to be more doe tags given out for gun season.

I am all for AR's but i can see you not wanting them. I used to hate them myself but i have grown to love them.

I'm just south of Albany too...in Greenville. Where are you? There is an antler restriction here...no less than 3 points on one side, and I love it. I think if people stick to it, there will be a noticeable increase in big bucks. I agree with one buck per hunter per season also. Try it out for a few years and see the results. We have WAAAAAY too many does per buck around here.

I'm just a meat hunter, and not a very succesful one. I wouldn't sneeze at a trophy buck though.

Also am South of Albany, Just North of Greenville.

Old thread! I'll play .... I would love to see them all across the state ... except for junior hunters ...

So should it be 3 or 4 points on a side? Rack width? What say you?

Finger Lakes hunter here, action has been slow, a few mature buck sightings but no close encounters yet, hopefully the weather gets better and things pick up.
