    New Years Resolutions *Updated*

Well there's only two days of hunting left here in Minnesota, so I've been working on my 2009 Resolutions. Here are just a few in no particular order...

    Scout more this Spring
Shoot at least 4 times a week
Video my wife taking here first deer
    Harvest my first bow buck
    Hunt the wind
    Aim small miss small
    Build a permanent stand
    Find some sheds
    Tune my own bow
    Read, Read, Read...
Out smart Count Chocula (P&Y that has given me the slip twice this year!)

That's just a start. What are you all Resolving for next year???

    I hear ya.

Also, scout more because I got a bit lazy since I have been hunting the same land a while. Also, I want to hunt the public land a bit more since i live ion the middle of a nice State Forest.

Hank, you want to get out to my place and shed hunt? It would give you a chance to see the place before you come out and hunt with me this next year.

    1. Lose 10-15 pounds
    2. Pattern and kill the largest buck of my bowhunting career to date. ( so far 87" is the best I've done.)
    3. take my wife and daughter hunting more often even if it means having to hunt with a (shudder) gun.

    I want to lose 30-40lbs.
Learn to be a decent Shed Hunter and actually get my butt out and do it, this will help with my first goal.
Hunt new property this year and be successful on it.
Shoot a bigger buck than this year.
    Shoot a Booner.
Hunt out of state and maybe get an Elk Hunt in.
Help Fraley(Peakrut) get over his mancrush on Rod Blagojevich.

    I would have to say:
    1. Get in the woods more
    2. Get my wife more involved in the outdoors/hunting
    3. Try to find a nice piece (or any) of private land
    4. Get more exercise

Have a great new year everybody!!

Lose some weight, I've packed on way too much the past 3 years. I'd say I need to lose about 40-50lbs, but 30 would be nice. I also want to find the sheds to ole droptine, provided he survived another season. I'd like to get my kids their first coyote kill, they both killed their first deer this year.

    1. Get out of the "gun" mentality and place my stands properly.
    2. Hang at least 3 seperate stands.
    3. Shoot a hog w. bow.
    4. Spend more time in the woods.(always scouting)
    5. Keep my sugar sweet. (keep the wife happy as that will dictate my ability to hit the woods)

eliminate "rookie mistakes" (turning my head too fast, feet making stand squeek, bow "tinking" tree steps etc.) and step up my trail cam game!

I need to not worry so much about the big bedding area In my woods and just hunt the trail I had Intended on doing. One can't hunt the whole woods, just area's and spots. What ticks me off Is I know better but I didn't follow my line of thinking with this at all this year during the rut. Did it cost me a P&Y buck? Might of!!

Another thing too, I'd like to shed off another 10lbs. Last year I lost 15lbs and still holding strong with that. Another 10lbs and I'll be set and happy.:d
