Just thought about my New Years Resolution and noticed I am a little behind.

My resolution was to make 52 new recipes this year (one per week). Right now I am at 19 but we are on week 23. Sometimes I just have a lazy week and don't want to make anything different just the normal Mom or papas kitchen kind of stuff. Plus making supper for two doesn't allow for a ton of meals to be made. Nothing gets waisted. Plus having to get the special ingredients for a recipe gets either annoying because I don't want to go to the grocery store or it gets expensive. I've been trying to find recipes that I have most the ingredients for.

We are about half way to a new year, crazy right? How are you doing on yours?

Well mine was to quit smoking. Did good for the first 3.5 months then picked em back up. Back to quitting again. On my third week.

So not good but not bad either. :D

I quit drinking soda and energy drinks.

Haven't fallen off the wagon yet.

I sure drink a bunch of iced tea now though.

Lost 25 lbs, 10 more to go before I maintain and work on cardio shape.

I could care less about weight room strength or havin a beach bod, I just want to be able to hike off a mountain with a 100+ lb pack and not die in the process.
