Illinois so no feeding or minerals whatsoever but you’re right. Would be hard to prove. I was thinking of that Franz buck from Iowa but that was the soil they tested after suspicion. If this deer is in fact legit, which I really want to believe it is, it’s the equivalent of seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime and saying yea he’s all natural, he just eats a lot of protein.
Edgar County has had a quiet history of some freakish bucks. A gal shot a huge buck a few years ago. I know there’s an Outfitter south of Chrisman, but need been there. Y’all flock to Edgar Co and push the deer down on our farm.
