That is an awesome buck. I wouldn't be surprised if the record only lasts one year. There was another MEGA GIANT on camera last year that I heard was never shot. I saw the pics and people were talking world record archery buck.

Been a mild winter, will see if the spring is conducive for growing big deer.

Any chance you'd feel like sharing the county or perhaps the link to the pics if they ever made it onto a forum anywhere? Just curious is all I love reading about potential record breakers.

I dont know if the pics ever made any forums. When I get home I can post a picture but dont think I should say what county it is in.

Officially scored? What about that shared base G2-G3 on the right side? Doesn't that "officially" disqualify it from a typical score?

I found if you buy the scorer a few beers first you usually get a favorable score.:)

I thought the same thing. It's an amazing deer for sure, but it looks to have a shared base. Any other photos out there?

No it is still typical because all points are vertical. but that point is the net and gross are 7" different.

It does not make any sense to me. Maybe there is a difference between a Wisconsin Archery State record and a Pope and Young Wisconsin state record? It clearly looks like the g2 and g3 on the right side start from a common base.

I would also add we were killing 200" typicals with a bow in Illinois back in the 60's, there still has not been one killed in Wisconsin?

It doesn't disqualify you from entering it as a typical, but it will be a deduction for asymmetry. That's why Wayne Zaft isn't the current World Record holder in the typical archery category, a common base.
