Nice! I believe the future of hunting shows is showing all aspects of a hunt, people are getting sick of kill shots. Always been impressed with your stuff Dan, need to buy some of your dvds asap.
Web Show Excellent Show , I picked up some good scout tips in the first few minutes . I liked how you explain about not disturbing the bedding area ,when setting up cameras but rather the path a buck takes to and from the bedding area. to set up cameras or ambush points for a good shot. I'll keep watching . Jimmy C. Ironcraftarchery

Who's getting bored of kill shots? This is not ABC's discontinued American Sportsman Show where they would shy away from the moment of impact. When shows start doing that then they can keep it. I'll never watch a show that goes politically correct during the hunt. What's next we'll start turning the camera away as a Bill Dance remove a hook from a Crappie's mouth? I'm sure it may be boring to some, but each shot is a learning experience. How you may ask? How far do the game run? Do I need to do a follow up shot? Where's the shot placement on the animal? The other thing some people are not cut out to hunt. They can eat what's harvested, but they can't participate in the hunt. Case in point..Drury Bow Madness showed some of their first hunts. One was with his son first hunt. After his son killed the deer he look like he was in shock. By a beginner seeing an impact shot they may decide hunting isn't for them. And that's alright with me.
Dan, curious what you look for in a "buck" bed. Ive seen thousands of deer beds in my life and can honestly say I've never stepped into one and knew 100% its from a buck. Just curious to hear what sets a buck bed apart from a doe, size, location, sign around it. Thanks.
Bucks and does bed very differently... Bucks bed solitary with a purpose. Does bed in groups usually with each one looking in a different direction. Doe bedding areas have some small beds from fawns or yearlings. Buck beds odften have a rub in the bed, if you look close during the show you can see a rub in the buck I was huntings bed. The biggest thing about a buck bed is, its in a specific spot for a specific reason. Nothing random about it. Bucks are loners and bed in a way that they can smell, hear, and/or see any approaching danger... Each type of terrain has specific areas where bucks will bed. And it differs from does. After you look at a lot of beds close, you will start to see trends, and will start to be able to look at topo's and aerials and often know where the beds are before you step foot on the property.
Thanks, I'm going to try to focus on telling them apart more, I'm sure it will click sooner or later.
