Will do. I had trouble figuring out what to pick as well. I had a budget of 300 for a camera. I wanted HD, internal memory and a solid zoom. This camera fit the bill and i got it plus a 3 year protective warranty for right around 300 plus shipping. The only thing is you want to by a after market battery right away since you will get about half hour out of the one that comes with it. Other than that im really happy with it so far. The zoom is great and definitely plenty for being up in a tree or even film deer from the road. I was zoomed in on people out to about 500yards and they were still clear and not pixelated. I still am working on what setting ill be recording in but i have plenty of time to figure that out.
I am comparing that one to some of the Sony's. I'm budgeted near the same as you. Each model has a very little detail different than the next and it's hard figuring out what I actually want/need
I had $300 for budget and Cambells cameras lined me up with a cannon 300. Nice camera for the money plus say when a deer steps into view screen. All you have to do is touch screen and even if subject moves it stays focused.
My brother has the same camera. We've done some of our filming for goose hunting with it and the video quality is pretty darn good. You'll definitely like it
Don't know how I missed this... Nice camera! Looking forward to seeing some videos in the near future
Thanks thats good to know. You were to excited about your new bow But i cant wait to get some film and be able to show you guys hopefully i can get my own little show going. I try and record interviews on the way to the stand and stuff. Im also picking up my camera arm this weekend i think
Pretty cool man, good luck getting it all figured out ha. Been looking at gettin a cam sometime but like couple others habe said its a pain go settle on which one ha.
Yeah im getting the hang of everything. I just read alot of reviews and found features that i wanted after that i searched for the best price. It didnt take as long as thought it would.
It has a lot of features that ive gone through there is also manual adjustments if you want. I havent used them yet though. The focus is really nice even at longer distances and low light i have had a chance to try it out yet but it has a setting just for that so ill see how it does. Yeah the zoom is really nice Good luck on getting a new one. You just have to sweet talk her and let know that it can be used for the family to and you guys wont ever miss a moment on anything
Just put some camo tape on. I got the main parts done i still need to cut down some little pieces. Here are a couple pictures.
Very cool, I just ordered a second hand canon hf m30. I believe it's very similar to yours. Switched to canon because the past couple "budget" Sonys we have tried have been junk.
Yeah it looks similar, it might have a few extra things mine doesnt. I really like the this camera though. It takes great video. Not sure if you check out my other "at the range" thread it has me shooting a little bit and you can kind of get an idea of the quality. Im putting together another clip now of somethings to see how good the picture is. Next thing im going to pick up before the season is a shotgun mic but other that im ready to get up in a tree this fall.
Nice job on the camo tape. Way better then mine looks. LOL. Hopefully I will get my new camera ordered in the next month or so but then I will order the actual pre cut camo for it so it will look way better then what I have!
Thanks. I looked for pre cut ones but they didn't have any. Its pretty easy to put on for the most part, besides the weird curves and little areas i need to cut separate pieces for.
Ya I actually covered about 80% of mine and never finished. I really should but don't plan to have the camera much longer and ran out of tape so not going to bother at this point.
Yeah i wouldnt worry if you are getting a new camera. Ill finish mine up since ill be using this for a couple years till i plan on upgrading.
