Here is an entirely new type of trailcam from Moultrie. I don't know if it will be any good or if it will work as advertised but to me the concept is definately a step forward in trailcams. The thing with changes in technology is that once one company has success with something, the other companies will jump in the game and will usually make improvements on the original idea. Like I said, I'm not speaking about the funcionality of this camera but it certainly is a big step forward and I think, a huge improvement. It is called the Panoramic 150. I assume that means it takes pics in 150 degrees. http://youtu.be/yqLRQfd946M Blessings.........Pastorjim
Another youtube video that cant be played on smart phones. Hate that. Guess I will have to wait to watch it. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
I have been researching these and want one. I like the idea and think it makes sense. I think they just went on sale this month. If anybody has one let's see some pics.
Moultrie puts out 7-8 new cams a year. They dont even have any sample pictures available. What kind of company puts out cameras without sample photos?
Looks like it would eat batteries too. Pretty cool idea, but im sure there are some bugs. Would be good for field use.
I can't find where it's been reviewed yet on that site? I do think its a great idea if it doesn't eat batteries. Would be interesting to see how many animals one might miss.
Runnin on c batteries? Seems like a battery eater to me. It would be neat if it functioned as awesome as it looks
From what I've heard it is a great concept that was rushed (IMO). There appears to be some bugs and is something that probably should of been held off the market for this year to be worked on a bit more before releasing.
Definitely looks like it would eat up the batteries having the camera rotating in there. I wonder if it makes much noise it makes when rotating. I also wonder how it will act in cold weather climates.
I do not see why they do this when they cannot make reliable standard trail cameras. Just my experience with Moultrie
X2 they spend all there time making new cams that are rushed to market instead of fixing there current cams. Engineering not marketing is the answer
It's a nice idea, but this particular design is likely to create more market interests than sales success. Here is just one of the reasons that the Panoramic model will also fail: http://www.qdma.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55186 I would say it is a nice try to defend against Boly Media's Long Range technology, but a pre-mature one.
Now, read early customer reviews here: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/prod...uctId%3D1205272%26type%3Dproduct#BVRRWidgetID It is estimated that 6 new C batteries can take about 2000 3-shots (in the winter, maybe only 1000+ 3-shots). The problem is, more that 70% pictures are on the same empty scene again and again. And 6 C battery price can buy 24 AAs. It's a good idea, but a premature design spoils everything.
