Just a quick update for anyone who has pre-order, it looks like we will be shipping cameras out Monday, after we go through our QC regiment! We are really excited to get the Exodus LIFT out to you folks to use....Here's a recent shot from a pond cam, a little non-typical shot but we though you all may enjoy it!
How water proof is it? Does it have pass code protection? Does it have desiccant bag inside the case for moisture control? What does the control panel look like? Where is it being built at? Show me state guy here....
Great questions ultramax! -The LIFT was designed with several features to increase moisture resistance. The camera itself only opens to a viewing screen and controls, it has a vertical hinged door with two oversized latches to ensure a proper seal. The battery compartment is fully enclosed, it is a tray style sliding in and out from the bottom of the camera, just below the vertical hinged door. To top it off the LIFT is coated with a weatherproof rubber coating to give extra protection to the shell and any seams where seals are present. I'm not saying you can submerge it, but guys should have any issues with leaving it out. We just pulled cards today after a week of storms and everything was good! But if you do have an issue, its covered under our 5 year warranty. -The LIFT is password protected. It also has a lockable door if one desired to use it. -I cannot disclose how and what we did to protect the PCP board and other internals...that would be like telling defenses your play before you snapped the ball, haha. There is a ton of technology in other industries not being utilized by outdoor/hunting industry players, let just say we brought some of that technology to the table. -The LIFT is currently being manufactured in China, by a reputable manufacturer, and all the QC done here in Ohio. We are looking into being 100% made in the USA for our cellular models, we'll see where and how that goes in the coming months. We should have an idea by Sept. Hope that helps, I can post different pictures if you would like to see something specific
Why can't we get a quality cam for under 100 bucks. I hate leaving cams out in the woods for any a hole to take. When they cost so much money
I haven't bought an Exodus yet, but I know if someone steals it, you can get a replacement for half off. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
We offer a one time 50% off policies for stolen or damaged cameras good throughout the 5 year warranty. If you camera is damaged or stolen call us explain the situation (send pics if damaged) we record that camera as stolen by tracking the serial number and then we send you a new one 50% off. That's it. If anyone ever calls about the original stolen camera we alert the original owner, that's why we track the serial numbers. Also by tracking which cameras are stolen, we have an idea of which guys are abusing the policy. We know there will be a few who take advantage of it, however we have been there feeling violated when you walk to one of your cam setups only to find it destroyed by birdshot or stolen. We want to go above and beyond for our customers with this policy. A lot of people have called us crazy, but we truly believe that most people are honest and those good folks outnumber the bad.
To our knowledge and experience it's basically impossible to build a quality camera that is durable for $100.
I understand. I wasn't talking negative about your product. I was just speaking in generalities. Theft of trail Cams is just something you gotta factor in unfortunately.
Well everyone should have their cams no later than tomorrow with the exception of the Canadian and Australian guys. Everyone's thoughts? Give it to me straight and honest!
