Well guys, I just placed an order here at BH.com for a Bushnell Trophy Cam and I can't wait to get it and set it up to run some tests. I have been throwing around the idea of picking up a new trail camera for awhile and every time that I decide I am going to jump... I keep thinking about how no other camera will perform like my Reconyx has. Well, as some of you know my Reconyx has been on the shelf for awhile now due to it becoming a toy for on the local black bears to play with. Well, I finally decided to make the jump and after hearing so many good reviews on the Trophy Cam I decided to pick one up. I am interested to see how the trigger speed and battery life stack up to my Reconyx RC60 (which I have finally got packed up and is getting shipped back for repairs tomorrow morning) I should have my Reconyx back in 2 or 3 weeks and when I do, I plan on setting it up beside the Trophy Cam over a very active scrape on one of the local farms. I will write up a detailed review at that time and send it to Todd so he can post it on www.trailcameras.com
Now that'll be interesting: a true "side-by-side" comparison. I indeed would be interested in seeing those results.
Don't expect it to stack up with the RC60. I use the Covert Original "Trophy Cams"....while great, they are more great for their price point. Fast triggers, few blanks, but they aren't flawless.....From most accounts, it seems the Reconyxs are indeed just that. lol Can't wait to see the results, which model did you go with?
From what I've read on the forums and on chasingame.com, the '09's were great but there has been a few problems with the '10 models, anxious to see how it works for you
I got an end of the year '09 TC. I'll post some pictures when I find a chance. Overall great camera, my only complaint is sometime the night time pictures have a slight blur, but not bad!
