Getting into this club of yours ain't easy fella's , I'm now having trouble importing a Bear Montana because the UK Royal mail won't accept any parcels over 60" . Can you believe it , now i gotta see how much it will cost shipped through UPS or FEDEX . I'm told i may need to put my house upfor sale just to get the Bow over here , there has to be an easier way than this surely .....GEE'S .

Thats gotta suck guess you have lazy postmen over there:rant:

You shoulda got a take down bow:nana:

I do know Fedex or UPS are not backwards in coming forward with their costs.

I sent a compound bow to Aus. through them it was $180 but through the post was $65 you can guess who I sent it through:lol:

I'm looking at spending $250ish for a take down or a recurve upto 58" , any idea's on what to look for . 50#@27" i'm new to this game and well ... i need your guidance fella's . Kodiaks are all i know .

Hey Steve ( thanks for the warm welcome mate ) , i couldn't let Joe drag the thread on to long ... so i thought i'd jump in say hi . :d
When i was at Will's house last September , we had a look round his man cave and Trophy room ( good grief , there are a lot of trophies ) and on his bench were 3 Trad bows , i got the bug their and then . Don't get me Wrong I love my PSE X-Force , but there is something about hunting with stick and string .

Let me tell ya, It Is awesome when you lay one down with just a stick without all of the fancy gadgets and accessories!! Don't get me wrong, It's a great feeling no matter what the weapon but for me It was 100x the excitement and still Is to this day. It seems like every animal I get with my recurve It's still like the 1st one (my pictures usually reflect that) and I've been hunting strictly with just a recurve for 14 years now.

Good luck and I wish you the best!! By the way, your name did come to mind when Joe made this thread.;) I should of stuck with my gut Instinct!:d

    Thanks woodsman

Steve , the smile says it all on your pictures . If i get the practice and confidence , i may put myself forward for a Mulie tag in 2010 when i go back out to Will in Colorado and take a Trad bow with me . Or i may hang on till 2011 and go whitetailing in Illinois , i've been invited over by a couple of the guys from lastyears Elk camp .
