The local Toby Keith restaurant in my area has adopted a no guns policy. People cannot even open carry in the restaurant. Hey, I respect the business's right to operate the way they choose, but I find it kind of weird a country boy like Toby would not allow rightful gun owners the ability to protect themselves when they head out into the public.

The restaurant and pavilion can hold up to 1,000 patrons.

Agreed, but look at today's society. Kids are pussies younger adults are lazy middle aged are prudes and old people are pissed off. And gays are full fledged in public. It's the guns kill people motto now man. Sickening I know as I have had my permit long time. To bad the guns can't climb outta the dresser and kill half these stupid fools and save te other half the trouble.

We have people getting robbed all the time in the general area in which the Toby Keith restaurant is located. No reason why someone should not be able to defend themselves.

Yeah heard about that, pretty much with you on the "your house , your rules".
Also heard it has to do with it being a chain and a corporate decision, but you never can tell.
Who knows he could have gotten all "Big City"
At the end of the day there's only two types that even pay attention to those signs, People like me who carry legally and corporate Lawyers.
Me, I'll spend money else where and we all know what we can do with the latter.

Don't support the bar. I went to the one at Patriot place one time, it was over priced, service was horrible the food wasn't that good, and it was one of those places that completely over does it with the "country" theme, I mean how many times do you need to advertise you serve drinks in a mason jar? Plus TK blows as a singer/performer.

How about the safety of others not carrying? There are a ton of people that have a gun and have no business carrying one cause they cannot shoot for crap! Just because you may know what your doing doesn't meant everyone else does. I would easily bet many people buy a gun, go to the "class" to get their carry license, carry it around, and yet barely know how to shoot it. Think about it, would you want to be a establishment owner and have some clown try to defend themselves and only end up killing some innocent person in the process instead? Probably no.

No more dangerous than being in the vicinity of a NYC cop when they engage with somebody.
    Hell probably safer.

Toby Keith and company can go **** in their hats. They don't deserve our patronage if they don't respect out rights. Someone said money talks and bull **** walks, let your money do the talking and take it to another venue.

I went to one once. I agree it was a little cheesy. However, I decided to go after he did a show at my last deployment and he mentioned a free meal on your first visit if you were a military member. Thought that was pretty cool of him.

Gun laws and regulations only hurt law abiding citizens. Just don't dine there, easy enough.

Why does this matter? Many states allow concealed carry in a bar so long as the person doesn't consume alcohol.

Exactly. It is an individual responsibility to not be a dumbass.
Also if your the type of person who becomes an idiot after one beer with dinner, perhaps you shouldn't have that drink in the first place.
Also by that reasoning, alcohol should only be sold to people who go to the store on foot since the possibity of them drinking and driving would be incredibly diminished.

I certainly respect the business decision to not allow weapons.

And for the record, Toby Keith ain't no county boy.

Right, the business has every right to do it. People can choose whether to eat or not eat there as they wish, no one is forcing anyone to dine there. I agree, Toby doesn't seem like a country boy at all. In fact most "country" music stars these days likely aren't. Not that anything is wrong with that, I guess anyone can pretend to be whatever they want.

I was asking because in my state it is illegal to open or conceal carry in an establishment that serves alcohol. No exceptions.
