My husband got me my first bow for my birthday this year. Super excited! Now I kinda have the hunting bug. I want to be ready to go by next season (if at all possible). Any advice for the newbie

Welcome to the site and welcome to bowhunting.

My advice would be to read the threads on here and also to ask questions. There's more than 5 years worth of posts on everything bowhunting so search away.

Welcome to the Addiction! As far as tips, practice a ton, learn about scent control, learn about using the wind, and enjoy every minute of it. :tu:

Well i noticed that you are in little rock. Arkansas bow season goes until the end of february in most areas. So really no reason why u couldnt be in the stand by the first of the year atleast to get sum seat time that way you will have a little experience going into next season. Welcome to the site and the addiction.

Make sure your equipment is properly set-up INCLUDING your bow!!! Nothing is worse then having a non-sighted in bow in your hand while a big 10 point walks 20 yards in your shooting lane.... Take this from someone that learned from experience.
