Hey... new to forums and to "vertical" bowhunting. Im 33 yrs old and just purchased my second vertical bow. I broke my shoulder as a teen and could not draw a bow i bought used from a friend. I thought id be able to build my shoulder back up but got frustrated and sold it. A few years back i tried to draw my buddies mathews and my shoulder popped right out of socket. Well it was set at 70# and an older model so it didnt have the smoothest draw. He talked me into going to doc and getting xbow permit. I havent looked back. I bought a stryker 380 and love it. I took a nice 134" 12pt on my second hunt with it along with about 6 other deer in the past few years. But i still had the urge to hunt with a vertical bow.. i finally visited a pro shop and told them my story. They were awesome. They put an Elite Energy 32 in my hands set at 55#. I drew it back with no problems. I was able to hold for quite some time. A little shaky but it was more of a mental fear of my shoulder popping out. Anyway i ordered one and should be here this week. Im freakin stoked! Well sorry for the lengthy intro but i really am just pumped to get that bow in my hands.
