Hi my name is Willie and I am new to the forum and bowhunting.. Is there anyone that can give me a few pointers.. I have been a avid rifle/shotgun hunter for the whitetail for many years and have takin my fair share over the passed years. I have lots of experience hunting deer, but wanted more of a challege on the Whitetail. So i decided to take up bowhunting. If anyone has any tips that will increase my chances for success, it would be appericated. thanks willie
Welcome to the site. I am far from an expert when it comes to bow hunting but I can tell you that the odds dramatically shift in favor of the deer when you take to the woods with a bow. I am sure you will get several good pointers from the guys and gals here but my advice would be to invest your time in scouting and have a good idea of where the deer are moving between bedding and feeding. You would want to set up on these trails and hopefully catch the deer moving between them. If you have any small food plots tucked away in the woods would be a good choice as well. Just my .02, I am sure you will get some other great ideas and pointers.
Welcome. THe only tip I can give you is dont hunt on a huge feild, hunt on the trails leading to the feild. Got all my bucks doing that.
Welcome to the site Willie There are a ton of very knowledgeable guys & gals on this site. Your best bet is to ask questions that are as specific as you can be. Also provide as much background (relative to the particular question) as you can.
Welcome to the site! Like Fitz said, ask all the questions you want, lots of knowledgeable people on here.
