Looking to put one on my x-mas list I needed some experienced advice. I mainly want to know if and when deer are coming through. I'm not overly consernd w/ pic quality. I want to keep the cost down to $150 or less. I've just started looking and comparing, man there are a ton out there. The moultrie 5.0 outfitter and the stealh cam sniper pro are two that I have looked at but I'm not leaning towards one brand or another. Is IR better then a flash? I assume a flash may startle game. Do they all have security measures or just the reallly expensive ones? Any suggestions on any brand or specific camera would be a great help.
buckeye seemed to really dig these http://www.covertscoutingcamera.com/ i was thinking about getting a couple for my first cameras, the quality loks great and they are small!
Check some of the blogs. I think I remember several reviews over the last few months on a number of the cams.
http://www.trailcampro.com/2009trailcamerashootout.aspx I found this site to have some pretty good info on it. It's worth checking out.
Covert is the company that makes the Scoutgaurd (If I am not mistaken). If you are not too concerned about pic quality, you could probably get 2 cams from Wildgame Innovations for the price of one of these others mentioned. http://www.wildgameinnovations.com/products/s2.html
