it would really depend on you and what you was lookin for, me i would tell you to go get a hoyt but thats the only bow i will shoot. bears and great for the new people to shoot because they are cheap smooth drawing and very forgiving any bow is good to start with
if money is not an issue, go to a pro shop, shoot bows and gun it! If money is an issue, there are nice used bows in the classifieds here and Archerytalk.com. I agree with the guy before me with the Hoyt and Bears. Sal

I am 54 yrs old, and the MATHEWS DXT is the best bow I have ever used. Very accurate, 80% let off and extremely quiet. Not much I added, stock bow is set up real nice. Agree with advice, go to shop and shoot. Ensure Mathews is one of your samples and think you will agree, a spectacular bow......good luck.....
