So I've been gun hunting for years now and have wanted to get into archery hunting. I've finally decided to start looking around for a crossbow but I'm wondering which one is best for someone new to crossbows. Have any ideas or suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I bought my son a Barnett Jackal for his 8th birthday. It is a full size crossbow and shoots well. Best part is they sell them at Wal-Mart for $198 with everything you need to shoot except a target and broad heads. It is a great crossbow for a beginner if you aren't looking to break the bank to get into it.
I assume since you've gun hunted that you know the regulations in your home state for crossbows. Just throwing that out there, as some are more restrictive than others on who can use them.
