I am new to Bow Hunting...actually hunting in general. Nothing against it, just wasn't raised around it. Bought a Hoyt Magnatec last year as my first bow. Have no idea what to do out in the woods. Just bought a 17' ladder stand, but have yet to put it up. Any words of encouragement or wisdom? Lost in the woods...
Well something must of sparked your interest in the best sport in the world? Research it, learn deer behavior first and foremost. Set up in a good ambush spot without being detected downwind and start learning. A hunter is constantly learning through trial and error. In time you will find yourself a hunting machine if you study and learn these things. Good luck and welcome to the forum!!!
First, welcome to this great site! Second, I'm glad you've gotten into the best sport ever, and third, if you are hunting white-tail, click here for tons of info. Welcome!
I was in the exact same position 4 years ago. Sitting on my couch one night flipping through channels and stopped on a hunting show. Knowing absolutly nothing or anyone that participated I went to the store the next day and purchased my first bow. Watched every show possible and started reading magazine and website to learn all I could. Now I love it!!! Own my second bow already, several stands and more gear then I know what to do with! Congrats on your new passion! Good luck!
