I'm currently looking for a new stabilizer. I shoot a 2009 Hoyt Katera 29.5" draw and 65lb draw weight. I had an eastman archery 8" on there and once I took it off seemed to be shooting a much tighter group. Problem is it was noticeably louder than when it was off question is --what to do? Get a new one, adapt to this one, or just not run one.

Strange that you should be shooting a tighter group w/o one. I've never heard of anythiong like that. You should have shot the same or worse w/o it. The noise situation doesn't surprise me in the least. You might try a lighter stab. like the Sims S-Coil to gain the noise reduction without the weight of the 8" Eastman. It's only a $20 investment in any case.

Well I said I was new maybe some of it is in my head. It just seems like it throws off the balance of the bow too. Which I think may affect my group more than anything else but I'm not totally sure. Just seems like the group was tighter

I didn't put a stabalizer on my new Quest bow I bought this year and I shoot great with the bow. It is still super quiet as well.
