    I would say for a first bow a Parker would be great. They shoot really well and are good on the wallet. Accessories I would say you can't really go wrong with much. Just don't spend your money on really cheap accessories, I like to stay mid range just to save a little money.

    Go to a bow shop and shoot some bows. Talk to the sales people there and you'll learn a ton about the different bows, arrows, broad heads, sights, arrow rests, etc. Then start reading the forum here and you will know a little more about what information is being provided. Lots of folks on here that know their stuff. Welcome to the site.

    When I started out with Bowhunting about 2 Years ago I bought a Diamond Infinite Edge for $350.
    I removed all the Accessories except the Sight and Quiver off the bow and bought these instead:
    Rest- NAP Apache for $60 on Amazon
    Stabilizer- NAP Apache for $35 on Amazon
    Arrow- BlackOut X5 Envy for $35/half dozen at Bass Pro Shop
    Broadhead- Muzzy 100 Grain for $36 at Gander Mtn.
    Total= Around $510

    I bought the Bow sometime during September, then ordered all the Accessories, then took it to my Archery Shop. They set it up for me and helped me with sighting in. Then I was completely ready for Hunting Season on the beginning of October so I practiced every day for hours until hunting season finally started on October 15th. I mean as I went out there I was very confident in my shooting skills and my Bow-Setup. And I had a very successful hunt that day and put some meat in the freezer. I ended up shooting 5 does that season which IMO are worth those $510.

    After you are used to shooting deer with a bow. I would suggest buying an HHA Sight which will help out your Accuracy A LOT!!

    I Hope this helps.

    Good Luck and Happy Hunting

    The Diamond Infinite Edge is an awesome bow. I bought one for my girlfriend two years ago and she loves it. They have a wide range of adjustments so its a very flexible bow.

    I would buy a 2014 or 2013 bow this year, you can get a really good deal. I saw a 2014 hoyt faktor 30 for $500 yesterday that was sighted in then never shot. I wish I bought a previous model year bow when I got mine but the charger is still a really good option. Go on Archery talk for some accessories or ebay as previously mentioned
