New to bow hunting (I’m a chic)

I don't know anything about elk hunting, other than those who do it are bad ass.. and elk seem to be very difficult to hunt just from a physical stand point and then the actual know how... it's very demanding. But, I ain't saying you can't do it. I just don't know to be honest. Have you ever killed any animal?

I've walked up on one by accident while deer hunting. It was in idaho north of mtn home afb. I saw a ravine and thought a deer my be in there. Nope it was an elk and I had to change my britches after it spooked me at 20 yds. That's about all I know about elk.

 

I had a similar experience with a moose while mtn biking!

Any bow can be used for you, what youre main problem would be would be the correct poundage needed to down a cow.
