Hello my name is Ed and I am new to bowhunting and the forums. I have always wanted to get involved with bowhunting but never had the extra cash for a bow. Luckily a person i work with who wanted to get into bowhunting, purchased a bow and never used it or pursued the sport and gave it to me. From what I can make out on the bow and literature its called a "Diamond by Bowthech" "Razors edge". Sure its not the best but looks good enough to get started with. Anyone out there familiar with this bow? Can anyone out there suggest any threads or tips for the newbie to learn and get started with? Unfortunately I dont know anyone local who hunts so I am pretty much learning on my own. I live on Long Island and have heard there is some bowhunting here, does anyone live nearby or bowhunt on Long Island? Thank you all very much for the time. Look forward to making some friends and learning from y'all. Thank you, Ed
Since your a beginner I would head to your local pro shop that deals with diamond bows and have them set you up. Dont forget to ask, ask, and ask questions. Since you didnt buy it from them it will cost you for their services but since you are a true beginner it will help tremendously.
