Awesome bud, glad you finally stepped in and did it! fun eh? I think im getting ready to go to the muzzy set up vs my current AMS. Been getting into bigger fish on the Ohio river and the AMS just dont handle them like the muzzy!

I am 15 years old and I have never been bow fishing. It looks like fun. Is there they a good starter kit to buy?

Hey bud you can start with a cheap bow but in my opinion the reel is the one thing that you should start off with the best. I got my first bowfishing rig when i was 15 and it was an Oneida H250 that i bought for $125, and i spent the $70 on the AMS retriever reel but it was well worth it, its still going strong with no maintenence. I now use the Muzzy XD spinner with a rod extension and its the fastest most reliable setup ive ever shot, and ive tried just about everything. After Mr. Pearce watched me shoot 2 arrows in the time it took for him to shoot once and retrieve his arrow he decided on the push button style. they rock! Good luck and have fun, its a blast when you really get into the fish!

Fertilizer. Those grass carp are good eating but we didnt shoot any sizable enough to make cleaning them worth while. They are a very bony fish but taste great pan fried in cajun fish fry!
