Hey we just found out thanks to our trail cams that we have black bear on our property. Archery season around here starts the same time deer season does. I am wondering if 55lb draw weight is enough to kill the bear. I also wonder if the 100 gr razor tricks broadheads that I use for deer would be good for bear also. I would like for my bow to be ready for the bear if I see one while hunting deer. Thanks

Your set up will work on a bear ! Just put the broadhead in the right spot and then post a pic !!!

That is a young one - probly 2nd yr and just kicked out by his/her momma...tough to say as deer size by you might be much different than deer by me but guess prob'ly about 120-130 lbs might be 160-170 by season(a good eater).

I'd have to agree with wolvenkinde. It looks like it might be on the 120-130 side of things. Not too big, but still might be a decent shooter come fall season! Keep your eyes on your trail-cam and maybe you'll see it grow. Is it legal to bait them where you're at?

I shot my 300lb blackie this spring with a 100gr G5 Montec. Complete pass through - double lung. Last year was a 230lb blackie, complete pass through, lung and heart with a 100gr G5 Montec. See the pattern? :)

Whitetailbowhunter, I don't know if this will help but these two pictures are just mid size bears. its always fun to see bears on cams.
