New To Archery/BowHunting

Took me 30+ years but finally found my way...
Excited to see where it leads.

 

Welcome, what do you shoot, what are you after, do you have any questions?

 

I shoot an older (2010 ish) Martin Saber Dyna Single Cam Compound I inherited from my Father, at 60# 29.5" draw length. It is dialed in pretty well from what I can tell, just really focused on getting my form dialed in. Outside of basic archery target shooting, only live targets I have attempted are backyard squirrels.
Not after anything specific, going to attempt first real deer season this year from some private land (15 acres or so) where my Brother in law has some feeders and stands setup.
Tried going after some hogs on that property earlier this summer but never saw any (did see quite a bit of deer though).
As far as questions, I guess I can start with what does it take to get out on public land for hunting? I know I need and APHP but beyond that what more should I be looking out for?
