Hi everyone. I'm new to bowhunting. Last year I bought a Barnett Predator crossbow and used it all season. First day out I got a 8 pointer. I'm hooked. I plan to buy a vertical bow soon so i can try it out next season. I've been gun hunting before but i love the fact that with a bow you have to get them closer for a good shot. seems more sporting to me. Anyway, I found a bow I want, Bear Legion, and was wondering about the arrow and broadhead weights. What's a good arrow/broadhead weight? I used easton arrows for my crossbow and love them so I'll probably use them for my bow. But I'm not sure as to what's a good balanced weight. thank you
Well before you can determine the arrow weight/BH weight you'll have to find out your draw weight and draw length.
anything with the 500 spine in easton arrows should work according to their shaft selector. Here's the link so you can put all your information in. It should make it a little easier to pick and choose... http://www.eastonarchery.com/products/selection_hunting
My first bow was a Barnett RC 150, that thing turned out to be a dud with the limbs shattering...After I contacted the company and returned the bow. Soon as they got it in the mail. Chad their bow technician called me and said they would take care of it..... They sent me a Wildcat C-5 plus a check for $500.00. Barnett Crossbows customer service is top notch. You've made an excellent choice choosing a Barnett. My only problem with their crossbows is that you can't use cut on contact broadheads with all of their bows. Try these broadheads and you can't go wrong. 125 grain hypershock NAP 125 grain NAP's Spitfire Buckblaster 2 3/4 125 grain
