Looks good. Just make sure to get us some pics the first time you put her in action.

How many tillable acres do you have to work Greg?

Right now I only have 4 small food plots that I till. Probably an acre. I also own about 3 acres of a larger crop field that I rent to a local farmer.

Congrats on the new toy, I have had mine now for a couple of years and it works really great breaking that new ground. Just make sure you watch out for those roots and stumps.

How much success has an acre been for you? Has that gotten overbrowsed?

I ask because the current plan by me is three plots totalling 1.4 acres.

No lie! That grapple is pretty awesome at removing roots and debris to make room for the tiller.

Stop on by, I've got beer!

Brad, last year was my first time with plots. I planted buck forage oats in late August. They stayed green through December and worked great. The deer were hitting it and kept it mowed but didn't over browse it.

Not sure what I'm going to do this year. I might ask Pat what his secret seed mix is as he has awesome food plots.

Nice. I got my tiller late last year. They are awesome. I have a line on getting a JD 4 row planter for free, so this year, my goal is to plant soybeans and possibly some corn. That tiller makes life soooo much easier.

I haven't done much looking yet, but can someone tell me if you can run a tiller like that on older tractors, say like a 1953 Farmall H?? Have thought about getting one, just haven;'t researched how it would work behind my tractor.

You can run the tiller on any tractor that has a 3 pojnt hitch and PTO. The size of the tiller will depend on what HP tractor you have. I have the exact tiller that he is getting and my 35 HP New Holland handles it without any trouble.

    Thanks for the comments guy's.

I can't wait to try it out, but it will be a few weeks before the ground will be ready for that. Right now it is still sitting in it's crate. When I finally get it out I'll be sure to post some pics.

Right now the GF and I have been getting our years supply of fire wood ready. We're almost done. The grapple works awesome for bringing whole trees back to our wood processing site. Knock it down, cut it into 4 or 5 pieces then grab the whole works and haul it off.

Man you talk about a guy that is antsy. That is me my friend. I can't wait until the snow melts enough I can pitch a tent and get back up on our land. Remember, I purchased the land, went gun hunting, and have not been up there much since. It's hard for me NOT to go.

The foot of snow they got today did not help this situation.

I understand what you're saying. I haven't missed a weekend in almost 2 years. I've also spent 6 weeks of my vacation there as well each year.
