Went looking at bows again yesterday and am really leaning towards a Halon 32. Anyways one of the biggest complaints I ever hear about a Mathews is that the strings are terrible. Is it worth it to just go ahead change the strings right out of the gate with a Mathews bow?

Since Mathews revamped their sting building a few years back - no issues. I have 3 bows with Mathews strings, (each with 2000 - 4000 shots) with zero issues. I would give the factory strings a try.

Yeah I’ll probably just shoot them and see how they do. The only consequence is money saved.

I would get the bow and shoot it a bit and evaluate from there. We've seen them come through rock solid and others that should have never left the factory.

Yep, that’s the current plan. Hopefully mine are on the rock solid end of the spectrum. My bow should be here in mid January.
