After a couple weeks with the new G Series cameras from Stealth Cam I can say I'm pretty darn impressed. They are far and away better than any Stealth Cam I've ever used in all aspects - smaller size, easier controls/setup, better mounting options, great trigger speed & excellent photo quality. Battery life remains the big test to see the results of, but only time will tell in that regard. I have to test the HD video w/audio as well but given my experiences with the older Stealth Cams that shouldn't be an issue. Last year's cameras did a great job at that.

At $189 for the NoGlo camera (G42NG) and $159 for the low glow (G30) I really think these are going to be a solid option if you're in the market for a sub-$200 camera with a ton of features.

G30 next to last year's Unit X OPS. You can see the smaller size and major design change.

Inside of the camera. LED display is backlit which is very nice in the dark or low light conditions.

First pics from the field. Nice night time IR images - evenly lit with plenty of flash power. All in all I'm impressed. Can't wait to get a couple more and for bucks to start sprouting new antlers if spring ever gets here...

Is it just me or do the pics have a slight tint to them? They dont look as bright and colorful as many other cams I use.

If you look at the time on the pic it was starting to get dark and it was an overcast day shortly before a snow storm so I wouldn't expect the photo to be all that bright.

Here's one from mid morning when I was checking the camera as an example to compare against. You can barely see the top of my hat, I have the camera mounted about 7 ft off the ground pointing downward.

    Lookin good.

Would like to see some more pictures from day/night, during different seasons, and different conditions (no snow, etc).

As would I, but it's just going to take time to get them. I put the camera out on Sunday and checked it the following weekend so I only have so many examples. I plan on leaving a couple out through spring and summer even when I typically don't run cameras just to see how well they behave.

Here's a few more night time photos.

There is someone posting pics and vids from the new Stealthcam G42NG Black flash model on another site. They are some of the best pictures and the clearest videos I have ever seen on a blackflash cam. They are just as clear as your pics Justin. Nice catches you have there.
The vids they posted were very clear both day and nite with crystal clear audio. I think it was ChasinGame where I saw those posts

They also noted that the cam had taken 4500 pics and 450-500 vids so far and they still had 80 percent battery power left. If thats true then it Looks like a winner.

I had a couple Stealths that lasted a long time but they ate batteries faster than my kids could eat a bag of candy.
Looks like they solved that issue

The price on these cams is very reasonable at only 135-140 for the black flash G42NG model from what I saw advertised

I should hopefully be getting my hands on some of the G42NG's pretty soon for some testing. From what I understand they're still waiting on some shipments to arrive so they can start filling orders. Todd had one for a couple weeks and it worked great, but he was just using it on the bird feeder in his back yard. I think they're going to retail at most dealers for around $155-$160 from what I'm hearing and I saw the G30 for under $110 at Sportsman's Guide if you're in the "Buyer's Club"

Like I said, I think for the price point these cameras are going to be very solid performers. So long as the battery life holds up I may be having a fire sale on all of my other cameras and replacing them with G series before summer comes.
