just bought a 21ft ladder stand, want to put it up asap...

will spray it down with dead down wind and lay it out in the back yard for a couple

days.....how long do you think it should take to knock off the metal and whatever scent...

before i can hang it.....thanks russ

You can put it up now. Metal doesn't hold scent like other materials. Now if it has a paint scent that's a different story. DDW will kill the heck out of any other scent.

I agree with the guys...when I buy a stand, it goes up. spray the cloth/vinyl seat if it has one n you should be set. just try to get one where not too much lane cutting is needed, don't wanna mess up the regularity of the area for the deer.

I bought a new ladder stand on Wednesday morning, put it up Wednesday afternoon & hunted out of it this morning. Had deer around me much of the morning & I didn't spray it down with scent killer.

    Portable ATV Stand

Why wait for help when you can put one on your ATV

The one I use is from Double Barrel Outdoor Products

Have had great success with it.
