I am looking at getting a new stabilizer. I currently am using a trophy ridge that came on my 2010 Bear Strike. I have been looking at either the Octane 7" or a NAP of about similar length.
    Any experience with either products?
Suggestions of other products to look at?
Whats the difference between modular and solid? Does one outperform the other?

Unless you need the stabilizer for noise reduction I would suggest not using one at all. If you need one for noise reduction then I would suggest getting one made for that purpose.

I don't know if i need the stabilizer for sound dampening as i have never shot my bow without it. What are the pros/cons to using a stabilizer?

    Stabilizers on hunting bows:

Pros - Sound dampening, if even needed.

Cons - Extra weight with no benefit unless sound dampening is needed.

I'm using Smooth Stability stabilizers. It helps settle the pin and doesn't move.
