I just got a new spot to hunt. I know it's Late/mid season, but it's right behind my dad's house and he's been seeing a giant walking around out in the farmers field for the past 4 years.

Saw the farmer this evening while we were out cutting wood. Kind of got on the subject and he had said no one hunts the property behind there. I asked if he would be interested in letting me and my son go out and see if we couldn't see something.

He quickly nodded yes and told us to be careful.

It's only about 4 acres that used to be a horse pasture with small clumps of trees and a good sized pond.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay out as much as possible and set stands up on the outer perimeter for the rest of the year. I will get a lot more in depth next year.
