Hey guys, I went for a stroll on a new property. The property is marked with the thin red line.

At the northwest you see a extremely thick cedar, spruce forest. Almost unhuntable honestly. The biggest clearing is like 15' wide. To the south you have a better mix and a little more open. Then you see the north east is more open fields, very hilly, water etc.

I was planning on hanging a stand on that dried up pond. Its like 60 yards long and 30 yards wide. Surrounded by thick jail. Saw some nice trails through it and droppings. Seems like a good spot, what you guys think? Would deer travelling between north and south forests use this opening? or use the thick bush behind where I want to put a stand to stay covered? what you think?
