Here is some pics of a spot I will be hunting on my lease for the first time this year. I can not get any equipment in to this spot. I am going to with the help of gutone4me spray the area a couple of times with round up to kill every thing. I am then going to go to a local seed dealer and make a custom blend and broadcast a mix of clovers, rape, turnips, sugar beets, carrots, and radishes. I can not wait to see what I get on camera and to climb into the stand for the first time. I am also going to dig in a water tub to give the deer every thing they need.

There is even 4 apple trees right there.

And of course I have a Monster Raxx Trophy Mineral site going already :)

If they have it, throw in some Buckwheat. That stuff will grow on a rock and my deer love it. Give it a try it grows fast, but frost will do it in.

Phase 1 is complete. We carried in 25 gallons of water, round up, back pack sprayer, more mineral, my camera and video camera. We sprayed just over half an acre with a potent mix of water, round up and 2 4 D. In a couple of weeks I am going to broadcast the seed and dig in a water tub as well. It sure is nice to have good friends come and help. Thanks Pat I really appreciated it. I will post pics when every thing dies off.

Added some of my sweat to the ground there yesterday. Going to be a killer spot. Like Tony said "death row" it is ! You get out of deer season what you put into it. Your hard work will be rewarded Tom !

    1) Congrats on the new spot, im jealous! 2) 25 gallons worth of round up on your back... It really does suck. 3 weeks ago I tried to spray a small plot, I barely sprayed half of it and then i said screw it, I went to tractor supply and got a 25 gallon tow behind boom sprayer. I does wonders, sprayed 2 plots (1/4 acre) in 20 minutes and towed it behind my lawn tractor :moose:

Looks like a great spot Tom.

I was watching the poor man plot that Winke made and he actually burned off after he used the roundup. May be too late but it turned out with great result.

Good luck and keep the pics coming.
