Looking for a new sight. Something w/ micro adjustability. I'm interested in the spot hogg hunter 5 pin. Does anyone have experience w/ it? I was also thinking I wanted a vertical pin allignment like the trophy ridge to help keep my sight picture as clear as possible, but it doesn't have .010 pins available. Leaning towards the spott hogg so far, but my research is just begining. I also shoot a lot. Indoor vegas, 3-D, and lots of practice in the yard. My main concern is for hunting.

I have the Spot Hogg Real Deal in .019. I have used it for 1 entire season and I'm very impressed with the ruggedness and brightness of these sights.

For hunting, the Axcel Armortech has received outstanding reviews. I'm currently using the Axcel Armortech HD, on my rig.

It's adjust-ability is more simple than the Spot Hott sights.

I've owned the Spot Hogg sight, and, it is an awesome sight.

Comparing the 2, I think my S/H was a touch "brighter"(using the large frame diameter). As I stated above, the A-A/T is easier/quicker to adjust(mostly concerning individual pin adjustment). My S/H still required an allen key to loosen the set lock for the gang adjustments, where as, the A-A/T, uses a simple wing-tab; no tools needed.

I have zero qualms with owning either sight. Both offer some really nice features. As far as "huntability" goes, I'll probably go with a S/H, on my next rig; mostly because I, personally, felt that is was brighter.

When I was looking for a new sight last month, the Armortech and the Spott Hogg were tops on my list, and I ended up with the Black Gold Vengeance. Definitely worth a look!

Thanks for the input guys. I talked w/ my local shop to expand my search and he agreed that the spot hogg is a great sight and tough as nails. He also recommended taking a look at the sure-lok "leathal weapon" as well as a little known sight maker that he is now using on his target bow but makes a great hunting sight.

The price looks good. Anyone else shot, seen, or heard of them?
